American Pie is a refreshing slice of good humor in a low budget decade. The combination of Jim, Oz, Finch, and Kevin really remind me of my group of friends in high school. This movie is a rewind back to high school. Even though some of the scenes may be a little exaggerated, American Pie describes what highschool is in a nutshell. With some clever one liners and funny/awkward scenes, it captures the essence of high school in its entirety.

The awkwardness of being a teenager, (insert 'sigh'.) So why the hell would I want to spend an hour and some change living through it again? Had some funny moments, but they were all in the trailor before the movie even came out. And then they got greedy just because the first one was a hit. Now there are four (FOUR!) sequels in addition to this one. Enough with the pie!

I think the American Pie movies are a tiny bit funny. But they go abit overboard with sex scenes and sexual references and I don like it when they use those two things, too much, in a movie.

I somehow still get nostalgic when I think about it; I really enjoyed it as an adolescent and I somehow still do. Jim and Finch are legendary, and Nadia was one of the first topless women to appear on my computer screen. In fact I still know so many quotes by heart it even becomes embarrassing. It's a classic in the genre. Not really high culture, but exactly what you expect it to be.

This is THE quintessential movie for any adolescent male. If you are or will soon be in High School you are doing yourself a disservice by not seeing this movie. I can remember the exactly when I saw American Pie for the first time. It's one of those movies.

A good movie on it's own. Unusual for being a high-school sex comedy that shows a modicum of respect for the girls involved. Plus it was nice to see a brief revival of the 80's era type comedies like Revenge of the Nerds and Porky's.

Hampered by the success of its sequels and legacy, it never truly reaches the heights of shock and absurdity you want it to have. It's funny how obvious it is that the charismaless Kevin was supposed to be the central figure. I for one prefer laid back Jim over hip, cool Jim.

The only reason I am giving this a 70 is because it holds a little nostalgic value. I did like this one better than the second but I liked the third one the best. American Pie is a movie for teenagers and most other people are not going to find it funny. It is not as entertaining now days.

Not into it. Wasn't a fan. But I must remain objective. Everyone I knew loved it and owned it. It was on all the time when I was growing up but it seems to be a movie that is just all about sex jokes. I guess if that works to make you guys laugh than that is what the business is going to do. Probably why I wasn't popular in school, I was watching Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas while my chums were watching this both of us not understanding the other.

A great high-school comedy for a new generation, had some truly hilarious moments, and is a modern classic. The performances were all pitch perfect, and as a teenage boy on it's release I could not have enjoyed it much more.
