Liked this more than the quite-similar Mothlight. Brakhage can do whatever he wants as long as he's eye-fucking with me with an assault of colors.

Similar to Mothlight, but superior due to how much more visually interesting it is. Brakhage knows how to take nature and make it horrifying and ugly through the medium of film.

this one for some reason had much more of an effect on me. perhaps because the youtube guy added music. but the imagery actually had a point too, so that helps. rewatch: the criterion rendition of this was very pretty. i'll increase the score 5 points.

What might be called a found-object(s) film, and intended as a both an homage to and response to the classic painting of the same name by Hieronymus Bosch, this is among the very best Brakhage films I've seen. Absolutely mesmerizing imagery!

Very similar to Mothlight. Perhaps more than anyone else, Brakhage benefits from a theatrical viewing, but it is great to be able to freeze-frame and study the textures of films like this in hi-def.
