A waste of time. Lovitz sucks.

Good to watch if you have nothing else to do and all the other comedy movies are checked out of the movie store.

While at times clunky, overall it has enough laughs that it's more than worth watching. It could have been a bit longer/more fleshed out (the budget was probably the limiting factor), but for what it was it still worked surprisingly well.

Jon Lovitz is not tolerable in anything more than a cameo.

H.S.H is not a particularly funny spoof of overly earnest high school dramas that take place in underprivileged neighbourhoods (e.g. Dangerous Minds, Stand and Deliver etc). Whether the object of parody was too narrow or plain unworthy, or the writers lacked nerve, it mostly throws softballs at its targets and misses by a country mile. Lovitz gets the most laughs due to his natural comic talent, and Fletcher is decent as a jaded principal, but they can only do so much with such weak material.

This is pretty bad, but it had a few moments and I made it through.

Hilarious movie, but mostly funny because it's so terrible. Jon Lovitz is a huge loser.

This movie was good but definitely not good enough to be labelled great.

Lovitz you hound

I love unabashedly stupid movies like Leslie Neilsen's stuff, but this really doesn't have much. And behind it is a boring plot and some pretty terrible stereotypes

I remember thinking this was funny when I was around 10 years old. I'm curious to see it again now that I'd catch more of the film and cultural references.

Low brow hippity-hoppity humour. I really don't like that kind of humour at all hence this fell almost entirely flat for me aside from a few minor gags.

I thought this was hilarious when I first saw it, but on a second viewing, it's really not. Tia Carrere though, so hey, it's not all bad.

Someone needed to take the piss out of this subgenre. It could have been better but I remember it giving me some laughs.

Its another one of these funny parodies, but they try to do too many spoofs from other movies. Too many. Lovitz is funny though as a principal trying to keep his school in check. The one guys hair is amusing.

I have a spot in my heart for this. A lot of jokes relentlessly suck, but a lot of jokes also work, and the tone is right. On a side, it's not so crazy if you have actually worked in an inner-city high school. Actually, it becomes something resembling social commentary.

Who thought that it would be a good idea to give Jon Lovitz a lead role? And who thought that he deserved to get with a mega babe in this movie? Damn if this was real I'd be killing myself that he got such a hot girl and I'm single.

I like spoof movies, and this one was doing it LONG before it became vogue.

Jon Lovitz is absolutely hilarious, and this movie proves it.

God awful crap.

Relentlessly unfunny and plodding along at a terrible pace, this sometimes ends up being too much like the movies it tries to parody. The sight gags Zucker is well known for are almost entirely absent. It also hasn't dated well at all. Horrible, horrible film. At least Tia Carrere is hot.

I miss "The Critic"...

It's tough to judge a movie like this after 20 years. Maybe it was pretty funny by the standards of the time and if you were a teenager or child when you watched it (which I was), but it definitely doesn't stand up to the test of time.
