Chapter 25 in the complete adventures of Indiana Jones has it all: the fedora, the bullwhip, the ophidiophobia (fear of snakes)! This time, Indy (Ford) is on a perilous hunt for the Holy Grail with none other than his cantankerous dad (Connery). Father and son have rarely seen eye to eye. But if the adventure they share can't bridge the generation gap, nothing can. (Paramount)

Excellent sequel. It manages to get back to what makes Indiana Jones so much fun in the first place. A great story. Memorable (but not due to being annoying) characters. Harrison Ford is just as good as ever and Sean Connery is fantastic, together they have a great humorous father-son relationship. Great humour and tons of adventure and excitement. While I still slightly prefer Raiders of the Lost Ark this is still a fantastic film and a must see for any adventure/action movie fan.

In some regards this is even more enjoyable than Raiders; it just doesn't have quite as many iconic moments to make it the defining piece of the franchise. It's epic in every sense of the word and features amazing scenery and photography. Crisp action, great dialogue and a thrilling story are all present. Connery and Ford are a perfect match as father & son, playing off each other to charming and hilarious results. The ending is (was) such a classic sendoff for one of cinema's greatest legends.

Not quite as good as Raiders, but not too far behind. The series did well to return to its roots of kickin' Nazi ass and searching for holy relics, it's what gave Raiders such a grand feeling to it. What struck me about this movie is how funny it is; the Indy series has always had moments of humor, but there are abundant laughs to be had here, and none of the humor is cheap.

With Raiders of the Lost Ark being a colossal success and Temple of Doom having a luke-warm reception, Lucas and Spielberg set out to redeem the Indiana Jones franchise. I think they did that here. While Last Crusade dips into silly-mode from time to time, it captures the essence of a Jones movie, which is pure, unadulterated adventure and fun. It's a fun movie to watch.

This movie brings Indy out of the dark that was Temple of Doom, and it comes back with a larger scale plot. It's maybe not as deep as Raiders, but Last Crusade is still non-stop action fun. Sean Connery as Henry Jones Sr. is also a role that proves that he's so much more than 007. Harrison Ford, of course, is terrific once again, and this film is a blast! Awesome!

After the second movie's mild misstep, this returns to the Nazi-fighting relic-hunting epic adventure that made the first movie great, and while it may not be as fresh or original, it's just as entertaining and funny as ever. Living legend Sean Connery is perfectly cast and gives one of the best non-Bond performances of his career, Alison Doody is pretty and makes me feel funny downstairs, and Ford is still as awesome as ever.

Falls a little flat in the 3rd act, and is the original trilogy's least spectacular, but the Jones/father relationship is stellar. Connery and Ford show real chemistry as Indy, always in over his head, desperately tries to impress his estranged father. Best scene features the "Indiana... Indiana... Let it go..." line, which is perhaps the most epic father/son moment in movie history. It belongs in a museum!

It doesn't quite reach the greatness of Raiders but it damn sure comes close. It probably wouldn't even be that close if Connery and Ford didn't work so damn well together. Once those two share the screen together the movie takes off and never looks back. The film is just great fun and really brings Indy back where he needed to be after the Temple of Doom.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is exactly what is needed out of an Indiana Jones movie. It's action-packed, it's funny, it has strong and enjoyable characters, and it never gets boring. It's the strongest of the first three films in the series, and because of how well Connery and Ford work together, it's a very, very fun film. It's more tonally similar to the first film, which is probably a good thing, and it's recommended very highly.

It's pretty clear that the Last Crusade is trying to get away from the dreariness of its predecessor and approach something like the original movie in tone. It goes a bit too far in the other direction, though, and doesn't get a good balance of humor and pathos. Most of it's funny, though. The best part of the movie, though, is the banter between Indy and his father. Not a great movie like Raiders, but to round out the original trilogy you could do a lot worse.

It isn't Raiders of the Lost Ark, but it is significantly better than Temple of Doom. Part of that is due to the fact that Indiana vs. Nazis is a much more intriguing plot than Indiana vs. brain-washed Indians. Connery and Ford work well together as father/son and it's no surprise that it's basically non-stop action from start to finish.

Now THIS is a proper sequel. More Raiders than Temple of Doom. The callbacks were fun and didn’t outstay their welcome, Elsa was an actually interesting side character, the action is impeccably done and still holds up really well, and the stakes and tension are the best of the franchise. The father-son dynamic is the heart and soul of the movie. ADORED Henry Jones, and Indiana gets an amazing send-off that works so well. This may always be the end of the series for me. Fantastic film.

Far and away the finest (and warmest) of the Jones films; slower and more leisurely paced than the previous entries, but also has a far wittier (and well-drawn) screenplay, and a genuine feeling of emotional catharsis for the Indy character. Helped immeasurably by a meaty comic turn by Elliott, and stolen by a glorious performance from Connery, which serves both as a bumbling send-up of his Bond persona, and a touching characterisation in its own right. Many fine action set pieces as usual.

After a dip in quality with the Temple of Doom, Indiana Jones is back to form in a movie that is almost as good as the first movie. I loved the dynamic between Connery and Ford, but the movie didn't seem to be as focused as Raiders. The comedy took too much of the center stage, Indy's lack of faith seemed odd considering he'd found the Ark, and just a bunch of little things like that brought it slightly down.

Uggh. This follows every goddamn cliche in the book of how to write a stupid Hollywood blockbuster film. It's absurd, and while that absurdity works at parts, it gets old fast. Ford is great, despite the lines he's given to work with. It's watchable, but only in an 'can't find the remote' kind of way. 20 points to Ford, 10 to Spielberg, 5 to Phoenix. -3 to Connery. George Lucas can just go to hell.
