Breezy and enjoyable, though I cannot fathom how Julia Roberts could be considered as desirable as the characters in the film seem to think she is.

I consider this film to be pure entertainment. It's easy, but it's done well and it goes down smooth. In a life consumed by work, marriage, fatherhood, and every other obligation that falls around your neck, I'll take a couple of easy entertaining movies. The couple being this and something other than Ocean's Twelve.

(after repeat viewings) Not to be hyperbolic, but this is IMHO the most rewatchable movie of all time. Never do I pass up on the opportunity to watch this every time it’s shown. It may not be perfect, but it’s the perfect movie to sit through. Great ensemble and direction, capped with a jazzy, breezy soundtrack from David Holmes that fits the mood perfectly. Reuben is such a Yid, love that guy.

Creativity, humor, intelligence, smooth, calm, exciting, all are words, which can be used to describe Ocean's Eleven. This movie is an excellent comedy. The group of excellent actors - leading roles portrayed by George Clooney and Brad Pitt - capture viewers' attention throughout the entire film. The thought process involved in developing the plan for their heist was pure genius. The movie keeps the viewers guessing what the next event will be, and usually keeps the laughter going.

It's hard not to be won over by the fun and breezy atmosphere on screen, most of the actors seem to be enjoying themselves. In particular Andy Garcia is wonderfully shark-like as the villain and Clooney is effortlessly cool (as always). On the downside Don Cheadle's accent is ridiculous and Julia Roberts looks bored.

Really an exercise in 'cool' with a few celebrities showing how 'cool' they are. This approach is a bit off-putting, but the heist is one of the best put to celluloid in recent memory.

Slow-burning, which is only to the film's detriment in the first half, where the quality mixes paradoxically with cuts too quick to understand the roles of most of the crew. The heist unfolds brilliantly when it begins, tainted only by the flattest female character ever rendered to film.

The cast outside of Pitt and Clooney don't get a whole lot of screen time, but it doesn't matter much, though, since it's such a well put together film that everyone gets a chance to shine and it feels like their roles are bigger. That's the film's biggest strength, the writing is so tight and well structured that everything just flows smoothly from scene to scene and despite the heist being complex it all makes perfect sense as you're watching it.

Fun for the audience and they can tell it's just as fun for the actors invovled. This all star cast doesnt try to sell the movie with their names, the film truly works, telling a comedic story of a heist that will entertain just about anyone who sees it. However again it is necessary to mention that there isn't anything real new or creative here. Just fun.

Somewhat engaging, but ultimately hollow. These are clever, playful theives, but you get the sense that they are playing to themselves more than to the audience. The actors look like they are having a good time - too good for the circumstances - and I suppose we're supposed to feel lucky to have been invited. If there weren't big name actors joking their way through this thing, there'd be no reason to watch. Most of the performances are good, but in service of little more than an exercise

I feel like time has been kinder to this movie than maybe it deserves. It’s fun, and seeing the actors play against each other is neat, but it’s not as memorable as I would hope and it sometimes feels like Soderbergh was stuck on autopilot.

Ocean's 11 is one of the funnest, slickest, wittiest and star-studded pieces of popcorn entertainment in recent years. And for all the style that this film boasts, it remarkably manages to back it up with substance also. Soderbergh's overall direction is solid and he does well to share the screen time between the huge array of stars. Clooney & Pitt are incredibly cool, and they know it. There's certainly a lot of fun to be had here. And as remakes go, this is one of the better and worthy ones.

With a great cast, plenty of style and an enjoyable final heist, this is one smooth crime production. However the movie never really gets going until around half way through, leaving the viewer somewhat bored through some sections. Acting is good, especially notable is the great performance given by Don Cheadle, just a shame his character wasn't one of the most prominent among such a cast. The twists keep the movie buzzing along well and seeing the plan come together is very satisfying.

Hi, it's Hollywood producer #133 here I have a great idea we're going to hire a bunch of big Hollywood actors and remake a heist film. We'll get the best flavor of the month director to put it all together and then we'll put one of our crack writers on the job to have a go at a script. It'll be a huge hit and wow just wait until you see the box office returns. So are you in or are you in??

This film would be entertaining enough with just a neat, elaborate heist (which it has), but it takes it up a notch with a steady stream of quick and witty dialogue, smoothly delivered by the effortlessly charismatic Clooney and Pitt, matching the brilliance of their cool schemes punch for punch. The editing is just as slick, with retro slide scene transitions and a chill Vegas-flavoured soundtrack. The "got the girl" ending is the only thing that's a bit distasteful in this great caper flick.

Ocean's Eleven is a film that succeeds on the backs of its ensemble cast, because without them, we'd have a generic heist movie. Since we have such an outstanding cast of characters, we get a great film. The heist itself is quite thrilling thanks to how much we empathize with the characters, and it ends up being a very rewarding experience, one that I'd recommend to anyone, especially fans of heist movies.

It might be one of the first movies where I was really aware of what the actors were wearing, it was just glamorous. It is just another great demonstration of Soderbergh's ability to tie many strands seamlessly; the plot twist was great and all big names did great without stepping on each other's toes. Except for Julia Roberts' character's part; which I found slightly defocusing, it was a fun experience.

Hugely entertaining all-star fluff, stylishly shot and constructed by Soderbergh and enacted by a charismatic and engaging cast (except for Roberts who appears ill-at-ease). Pitt, Clooney and Damon find a natural rapport with each other, and the set-up and execution of the heist does provide some genuinely suspenseful moments. Gould and especially Reiner are also a lot of fun to have around in support. Great fun, and clearly bests Sinatra's version.
