Not in the same class as the great MAD DOG TIME (aka TRIGGER HAPPY), this is not really a genre movie but rather some strange kind of expression of something. I don't know what. But something. Perhaps Larry Bishop's love of wordplay and wearing his sunglasses pushed down his nose. Perhaps his devil-may-care nihilistic spirit. Although it is of course understandable that many viewers see this as Tarantinoesque, to me Bishop has a style all his own. Given the chance, he might have done better.

There are movies that are so bad, they're good, and others that are so bad that they're a complete waste of time and there's no reason to give them the time of day. Hell Ride is so awful that not even the sight of naked ladies -- of which there plenty, especially in its first half -- could bring cheer to it. Everyone, save for cameos from Dennis Hopper and David Carradine, is so drab and down, despite all these actors in or past middle age getting to live out a director's misogynistic fantasy.

Larry tries bad to be a Tarantino, but cannot in any level. This story is not about six, six, six. It's a cheap B, B and B: bullshitting, bikes and booty. Bikes does not turn me on, neither the way Larry shows booty and the rest is a repeating bullshit. While I watched this thing, I was badder, bored and bissed off.

This is not good, but the similarities in the approach to dialogue between this and 'Trigger Happy' are surprisingly evident, while the underlying attitudes are in some ways really just more obviously vulgar versions of ones that informed the earlier and vastly superior effort. If only 'Trigger Happy' had got the recognition it deserved...

Pretty goddamn messy. It's intentionally a B-movie, of course, but it's successful right down to the fact that B-movies were generally crap. Lots of cringe-inducing Tarantino-wannabe dialogue and bland action scenes. But to give whatever limited credit where it's due, there's lots of blood, tits, and motorcycles.

Holy shit, is this film bad! I should have known better, not to watch this, when I noticed it starred the two kings of straight-to-DVD tripe, that being Vinnie Jones and Michael Madsen. Tarantino must have been high when he decided to produce this awful script. Larry Bishop is terrible at everything he does (acting, writing, directing)

Well, I loved the acting, bikes, and the hot women. Especially the women. This movie was a surprise to me, and I had no idea it would wind up as good as it is. Bikers having turf wars typically isn't exciting, but this film gives you lovable characters and somone to root for while showing you a glimpse into the culture of the American biker gang.

you could see Tarantino as producer in it, but in the end it seems like a mix of Easy Rider, Reservoir Dogs, a bit Sin City and lots of porn

It was no where near as bad as people are making it out to be, it's a B grade film about some bikers and that is what it should be taken as.

Tarantino's producing doesn't guarantee the quality but the movie is still very entertaining (not because of the amount of tits).

Simply a rip off of anything cool in hollywood (mostly QT's work). This movie's got some cool scenes, decent acting and good scripting. but since the director only takes material from others and adds nothing himself, it feels hollow and empty. I expected a bit more action, but it was still entertaining enough...not much else though! Don't look for any depth or thought in this one! For those boring nights.

There are a few problems with this movie, the main one is the plot of this movie is a complete mess. Also Larry Bishop is not interesting enough in the lead role. My expectations were not high going in and I was still disappointed.

Dialogue is pretty bad at times and story is predictable but attitude of the movie makes up for the weak script.

"The second wave of fawning Tarantino imitators commences with Hell Ride, a wannabe badass biker flick that plays like a Kill Bill-Death Proof hybrid minus the genre-deconstruction angle." - Nick Schager

Bishop tries to use overabundance of tits and ass to cover up the fact that he can't act, write or direct.

Great acting from Michael Madsen and Vinnie Jones. Lots of beautiful women and a great Tarentino influence. How can you mess that up?!!! This movie consists of random acts, mostly horrible acting resulting in a horrible story. It could have been so much more...

I had high hopes for this movie and man did I get burned. I was expecting non stop over the top action, instead I get stuck with a slow moving whinny biker drama with terrible dialogue where they sprinkle in nudity every so often in the hopes it'll be enough to keep you interested....It wasn't.

This kind of movie has been done before and better. Had a few moments, I was a big fan of Michael Madsen, but overall the story was jumbled around and the whole thing was just kind of boring. Lots of naked girls though, an awkward experience for watching it with your family.

Passable Tarantino knock-off (apparently endorsed by the man himself) is engaging enough, but it is an awfully ugly and sleazy experience at times (especially in its casually nasty treatment of women). Bishop does show some skill behind the camera, and the film actually looks great, but he indulges his lead actor too many times; troublingly proving President Trump's addage that "when you're a star, they'll let you do anything." Highlighted by fun cameos from Hopper and Carradine.

This movie tries way too much and in doing so it falls into all the pits of being uncool. Trying to do Tarantino stuff with the cool music and the fast cuts in some scenes is not even half as bad as trying to write witty and funny dialogue. There's no reason for anyone to care about it or the characters involved because they are all cardboard cutouts with no personality. The best part of this was Michael Madsen blowing air into an empty beer bottle and going: "Look, I'm an owl."
