The Rob Schneider Project- day 25. It has become difficult to think clearly. How many days? I... can't remember sleeping. The cell door is open. ...Has it always been? The hallway is empty. No guards to beat me. I shamble towards a flickering light. I remember this room. Pain. On the wall, it is projected. Big Stan. I watch. I cannot not watch. I cry without tears. I turn around. The movie is still playing, in my mind. A door opens. I know why I am here now. Adam Sandler smiles. "You are ready."

Schneider quest, film 25: A new low in the Schneider quest. What a horrible, unfunny piece of shit, and true torture to get through it. Schneider is atrocious in this. Avoid this satanic piece of fuck if you have some decent self respect.

I died a little inside while watching this. Schneider must be the creepiest comedian alive.

Points for Carradine being awesome and Morrison being hot, but everything else is exactly as crappy as expected.

The seeds of a passably enjoyable comedy are here, but the film shoots itself in the foot thanks to its clumsy set-up (why couldn't Carradine's training program have started when Schnieder arrives at prison?), and further undermined by the unnecessary gay-panic theme (was fear of prison violence not funny enough?) Major liabilities aside, it's not as bad as it could have been, especially with such a terrific supporting cast; Carradine provides some decent chuckles spoofing his kung-fu image.

Rob Schneider has a simple goal: not to be buttraped. Sounds like a funny premise--and the first fifteen minutes or so were indeed amusing. But it became really boring and unfunny when he started training for prison. For example, one of the things his trainer makes him do is eat scorpions. What the hell? That's not funny, nor does it have anything to with defending against buttrape. I turned it off.

This only gets points for being one of the last David Carradine movies.

This movie is really bad, and by being so incredibly awful, it becomes better than it really is. There are a few good gags in a sea of inane stupidity and otherwise utter nonsense. None of the acting seemed even remotely genuine except oddly enough Jennifer Morrison. David Carradine helped the movie, but his character was also spectacularly bad on purpose. Pretty much everything set at the prison was absolutely terrible which is, of course, most of the movie. Don't expect much from this film.

Hilarious! David Carradine is sublime in his comic role - I never knew this side of his acting. Even supporting roles like Jennifer Morrison are well done - and M. Emmet Walsh just has to turn up to be funny.

Rob Schneider playing a normal guy (compared to his other films) is just too strange. Almost uncomfortable.

I've given it an extra 2 points because the first 15 minutes were not too bad.
