Body of Lies

Interesting and sometimes thrilling political war flick, with Leonardo Di Caprio as a CIA operative tracking down an Al Qaeda leader in Jordan. Russell Crowe is his boss, teaming up with director Ridley Scott for the fourth time. Lots of action and suspense, with a few lulls in between.

Good cleaver movie, could have done w/o Leo.

Great movie. The story's intelligent, the action's believable, and the performances from Crowe and DiCaprio are stunning. A lot is owed of course to Ridley Scott, who broadens your mind to a scenario that been done to death in the past.

long winded

DiCaprio's fine, Crowe's a caricature, and this is yet another Hollywood movie that can't help itself from climaxing in a scary Mooslim terrarist decapitation scene. This one loses any drive well before that, when it becomes apparent that Leo's actually a jedi superhero, using the whole lethal operative thing as a cover for the much more serious business of chasing Jordanian skirts. So: standard and boring action flick, embalmed in that good ol' "middle east is all shades of gray" formaldehyde.

Hard to understand at first.But i enjoyed it.

kinda tedious in several ways

Run of the mill, felt too disjointed, non of the characters were likable except for the Jordanian Director of their CIA. Romance aspect felt vary tacted-on and a plot device. Russel Crowe's character was a bit too hammy...he should have dropped it a notch.

This one never really seems to connect, but a good performance by Dicaprio saves it somewhat.
