Although in my opinion Snatch is better than Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, and there is no denying the similarities of both, there is something about Snatch that makes it so much more charming than Lock, Stock. Snatch has extremely memorable characters, ranging from Bullet Tooth Tony, Turkish, and the great Mickey. These characters are so well texturized, and the smart and witty comedic script is so hilarious, it is just impossible to resist. Snatch is brilliant.

Impatient editing with lots of pseudo-snappy sarcasm and incomprehensible brit slang. Self aware. Annoying. The whole time I was just imagining Guy Ritchie writing the script, patting himself on the back.

The subsequent onslaught of subpar imitators of Tarantino and Ritchie made me wary of revisiting this film, as I feared that it couldn't possibly hold up... But to my great surprise and relief, it did! 'Snatch' is still very stylish and pretty damn hilarious. Brad Pitt's mumbling gypsy is priceless.

Wow! Totally solid hyper-active movie with great acting. Guy Ritchie perfectly captures a fun/fast/relaxed mood in the beginning and does not compromise till the satisfying end. And Brad Pitt's pikey accent was hilarious.

Very similair in terms of style and plot unveiling to Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. While a very good film it has still be done before, and slightly better in my opinion, in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Still it is very entertaining and a must see if you enjoy Guy Ritchie.

Snatch rides high on the fact that it is just so dang cool that people will always like it. The cast is outstanding, and the plot, though kind of tricky to follow, is intricate and hip. One of its strongest points, though, is its super fast-paced cinematography that puts you right into the thick of the film. Awesome!

Beyond the polished veneer of London and through the muddy alleyways and rotting trailers, exists the universe of Snatch; a place where a gallery of misanthropes, both monstrous and lovable, hunt the criminal underworld for a diamond of mythological proportions. The stylish and often violent intersecting of the various factions plays out to an eclectic soundtrack as integral to the experience as the story.

Flashy, cool and presumptuously bold, Snatch is one of Guy Ritchie's best. You have to appreciate and admire its progressive, smooth-flowing stylized tempo, and Pitt (I can't believe I'm confirming this) is magnificent. However, the camera's constant glitches and problems bring the score down slightly than intended. Also: NOT A COMEDY!

I'm not really a Guy Ritchie kinda guy, and although there are some fun moments (Pitt), it's too much 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels' to feel fresh. But if you're into ADHD friendly pacing, and Tarantinoesque 'aren't we all cool and clever', this puppy is for you.

The one thing you will remember this movie is for Brad Pitt and his role as that cunning Jewish-gypsy-crook. And if that is not enough there is the bad-ass Jason Statham and the slick direction of Guy Ritchie. Another must watch.

Witty, smart, crafty and darkly hilarious, Snatch features some stellar dialogue, well-built plot structure, and the best performances from Pitt and Statham I think I've ever seen. It's weird how comfortable you feel in this bleak atmosphere full of "pigs" and "dogs". Better than Ritchie's first movie, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, despite the many similarities.

I appreciate the colorful and well-defined cast of characters, and the nicely calculated mixture of humor and action/violence, but Ritchie's direction just feels forced a lot of the time. What's with the incessant Bennicio "Bit Part" De Torro? While a completely okay movie this never really gets me going in any particular direction, a sort of watch dumb thugs kill each other in a good time yet brutal sort of way. Weird. This borders on the really nasty and tries to redeem itself through comedy, I'd like to see it step over one line or the other since it isn't particularly funny. Stinks like it wants to be cool. Forgot I'd seen it almost immediately.

Even the opening titles are better than the whole ninety minutes of some other movies. The basic plot is interesting enough, but it's the other departments that really shine: The editing is brilliant throughout the film, always emphasizing and supporting the characters, the mood of the picture and the narrative. Dialog is frantic with lots of hilarious one-liners. The wonderful cast with a memorable Brad Pitt plays some of the weirdest characters ever committed to film. This one's a masterpiece!

A lot of one liners that I actually found amusing too. Most of these actors I don't really watch but thought guys like Farina and Graham were pretty funny. I had quite a fun time with Snatch. It doesn't take itself too seriously, and it's chalked-full of ideas that keep you engaged for a little 90 minutes. This was a fun experience that gets better, not worse, the more I think about it. It has an energetic and exciting cast, fun situations, and a story that's worth telling because of the way that it's presented to us. Snatch is enjoyable and I'd recommend it as long as you're willing to give it your full attention.

What I find so interesting about Snatch is that the narrative is simultaneously conventional and unconventional. There's nothing fundamentally unusual about the story but it's expertly arranged so that it seems like there is. Each scene progresses flawlessly into the next and the dialogue is practically air-tight with a perfect blend of comedy and drama. The characters are so well-defined and portrayed that they bleed into the very fabric of the film and make the experience supremely memorable.

I've never been a big fan of British gangster/thug movies, or of Guy Ritchie, and "Snatch" has quite the cult following, so you can understand my skepticism going into this. To my surprise, this completely lived up to its reputation. Everything works, down to the humor, the characters and the story (I loved how everything constantly tied together throughout). All the cast are fantastic, hilarious and memorable, but Ford and Jones are the highlights. Del Toro needed more screen time.

The entire film seems to have ADHD, it's just absurdly, nauseatingly overstylised and desperately, irritatingly quirky. The script screams "isn't that just so funny? ISN'T IT? and so smart! God I'm smart!". You can just picture Guy Ritchie writing this, laughing at his jokes whenever he finishes off another one of those self aware, annoying speeches where he tries to be '90s Tarantino and fails massively. Made even worse by the film being very unpleasant even though it's trying to be fun.

This indelibly quotable fave is a compulsively watchable and electrifying career best by Ritchie. For those who grieve for the old Ealing comedies or the farces of McCarey and Wilder, and don't disapprove of a spot of gunplay, blood spatter and dismemberment, or an immensity of profanity, this is a refreshing and stirring experience. May the post-modern gangster standard keep on coming, as long as they keep as imaginative, as hilarious and as absorbing as the hyperlink tapestry of Snatch.
