Like watching the deuling banjos of BAD acting. Story is only mildly interesting... and that's only until you realize what's going on.

Top badass moment? Suspending enough belief to accept that a concrete eyesore of a building is some sort of architectural Valhalla designed by a genius, whereas it looks more like a reject from a 60’s East German social housing estate that’s mistakenly been teleported into the middle of a National Park. It didn't look like it had good public transport links either; not a bus stop in sight. The film itself ably illustrates why having 4 writers is too many. No cats, chainsaws or decapitations.

More than passable genre offering. Nothing about this B-movie is A-material, but what it lacks in acting prowess it largely makes up for with decent atmosphere and a script that can be unpredictable as often as it is cliched.

The story at the beginning i thought this was going to be a good movie. But then it all fell apart and became pretty stupid.

A bit of a long-winded and convoluted set-up starts this ghost story on a rocky path, but it does develop a reasonable amount of tension, with Barton an effective lead, and Bright and Unger creepily effective as the lord and lady of the manor. Unfortunately the third act reveal is a let down, and veers the film from the more unsettling, atmospherically disturbing earlier scenes, into more obvious (and heavy-handed) torture porn territory, ultimately leaving a bit of a bad taste behind.
