So so documentary. Seems with people like Tommy Lee Jones in it it could be a little more interesting.

As the title implies, the game at hand - by its very being - seems to double over onto itself, becoming an anomaly, a self-parody, an abstract. And justifiably so: somewhere in this story, Tommy Lee Jones smiles, Meryl Streep is getting crap thrown at her, George Dubya is arrested in an in-zone, and Al Gore is playing Dixie. The film sometimes fumbles in catching the full magic of the situation, but it does nothing to lessen its ridiculousness.

That Nov. 23, 1968 contest throws filmmaker Kevin Rafferty a potentially great subject. Rafferty catches it, runs with it and then fumbles.
