Four survivors from an abandoned mining town - a married couple, the wife's sister, and a younger woman - are making a desperate trip to safety across the desert. The wife suspects the younger woman of having an affair with her husband, and soon afterwards the husband dies suddenly. The three women must then continue their journey amidst the growing tensions caused by the wife's desire for revenge. (imdb)

A short that assures us it has something to say about human nature, though what exactly that might be is debatable. A man attempts to force himself on a girl in plain view of his wife, and then keels over dead for no particular reason, all in the space of a minute. The wife and her sister blame the girl for all this, but then they stumble across an Indian baby (whose father has just been murdered in an unrelated matter), and all three glory in the call to Motherhood(!?). Nice closeups, though.
