I originally saw this in the theater with my immediate family when I was ten years old, and during the part where Jim Carrey crawls out of that animatronic rhino's ass, my father was in hysterics. Hysterics as in he had tears streaming down his face and he was WHEEZING with laughter. I was horrified and humiliated beyond repair. Ten years old.

Villain gets raped to death by a gorilla and the kids applaud. Always disappointed when the Morgan Creek logo doesn't have Robin Hood Prince of Thieves after it

I'll admit low-brow comedies are my guilty pleasure. This movie isn't intelligent or mature by any means. But if you're like me and can turn your brain off for an hour and a half in order to laugh at some slapstick gags then this movie is for you. If not then stay away from it like the plague.

I think it's a little better than the first one, but if you hated the first one, it's not enough better that you'll enjoy this one. It's a "classic" Jim Carrey movie, and you should know already if that appeals to you or not. Me, I can go for some pure stupidity every now and then. P.S. "Your balls are showing."

No, the 77 is not a glib rating. But, yes, this is a glib film. One of the stupidest and yet most watchable sequels of all times. So many fit-inducing scenes of over-the-top comedy: the slinky; "Shi-cago!"; the mechanical rhino breakdown; "and you must be the Monopoly guy!"; the entire "white devil" fight; the shadow figures during the intelligence briefing; and, last but not least, "Hey, you could poke out somebody's eye with that thing!" Love it.

Another instance of Carrey's mania essentially making or breaking the films depending on your opinion of him. The gags aren't great, but he certainly gives it his all.

It's the mildly funny, but most often annoying little brother of the first film. It has its moments but they are few and far between.

A sequel that surpasses the original. There are times when I randomly think about the rhino scene and laugh out loud.

This is what happens when you let Jim Carrey do whatever he wants over the loosest of plots...shotgun approach where he keeps firing until he hits. It does hit a few times, but people who aren't fans of his will struggle to get through this.

It sure has some funny moments, namely the projector shadows and the rhino's arse, overall is just slightly better than the original. For most of the time it appears that they just let Carrey run wild and do whatever the hell he wanted between the slower portions of the loosely laid out plotline, but it only serves to intensify the chaotic element of his character.

It didn't offend me, and it wasn't so obnoxious as to make me leave the room (as what happened with the first one), but it wasn't anything special. You can tell it was merely an attempt to cash in.

If you thought the first movie was annoying, lock up every sharp or hazardous object in the house before viewing this film. It makes you want to beat your head in at how people will go to ridiculous depths to get a dumb chuckle out of somebody. You don't want to laugh at this movie for fear of encouraging the wrong behavior.

One's enjoyment of this film relies on being grouped into two camps: Jim Carrey is kinda funny, or Jim Carrey is actually the unapologetic spawn of Satan. I personally do not think the man is altogether related to The King Of All Lies, so it worked for me overall, although some jokes fell flat. I found it surprisingly watchable.
