At first glance, it seems to be following the casual TV doc route, but along the way one gets the sense that the problem at the heart of the film is more caught up in the man behind/in front of the camera than vice versa. As this is pushed to extremes in the latter half of the film, it becomes clear: not Orwell, but Kafka.
