Has a few chuckles here and there (dog: "Son of my mom!"), but it's mostly awful and obnoxious. This is the kind of movie developed in boardrooms where coked-up executives shout about "what kids like these days."

The premise is silly and childish, and the events in the film that are meant to be funny are just not. Anything that seems like it's on track to be good humor ends up being a butt-sniffing joke. It's the kind of kids movie that makes kids more annoying to be around. The voice acting is the only solid aspect of the film. Crap!

Absolutely abysmal film with a depressingly stellar cast. Perkins and Goldblum are tragically underused as the film`s only real live-action adult actors. The voice actors do the best they can with hokey material, but nothing can obscure the fact that the film is a sad pastiche of dog-related slapstick and Jack from Will and Grace doing funny voices.

This movie is repressed in my memories, but I know for a fact I did see it. Unless I got molested while watching it, the movie must of been really bad.

Even though I was an elementary school kid at the time, I knew on some level this was crap. It says a lot about Hollywood when a movie this terrible can get a sequel greenlit. I don't mean to exaggerate, but if you do watch this movie, don't be surprised when your head explodes like that guy in Scanners.

What I thought was a pretty good idea, suffers greatly from a terrible script. There are a couple minor laughs, and the cast does a pretty good job, just not much to work with.

Another movie that is intended for young kids, although I still probably wouldn't recommend it to them. It's not even that good of a movie for kids. For the dog lover and cat hater in all of us, who also kind of likes mediocre movies.

Tries to be a good kid's film, and in my opinion, fails. But again, I ranked it kinda higher than you'd think because I like the concept of cats & dogs at war.

The frequent attempts at humor in this movie, including yet another riff on "The Matrix," are strictly amateurish, and aside from the clever first scene, no attempt even seems to have been made to take advantage of its ingenious storyline. Ultimately, the only mercy that is given to audiences unfortunate enough to end up in a theater showing this is that it's only 90 minutes. Without an ounce of entertainment value, anything more would have, quite honestly, been torture.

A premise like this, about the war between cats and dogs, could work, but for some reason talking animal films always end up with this lame, sanitised presentation which does not allow for it to be truly comedic, and its always awkward when they try to make said animals talk or act like people. Its also sad to see a cast including Jeff Goldblum, Joe Pantoliano, Michael Clarke Duncan, and Susan Sarandon squandered for such a thankless and empty kids film.

It's childhood nostalgia for me now, so I would have to revisit it. I enjoyed it a whole lot when I was younger though. What's not to like about cats and dogs fighting each other like spies when you're four years old?

Simultaneously dull and noisy kid's film may well play better to its target audience, but any film that reduces Goldblum to a bumbling, colourless stooge will struggle to get runs on the board. An eclectic voice cast does their best to bring some vibrancy to their characters, but all struggle against a juvenile screenplay which has about enough oomph for a short subject, but not much more (the too close to "Uncanny Valley" CGI work on the animals doesn't help).

So, this was for my challenge and I admit and it was kind of a chore sometimes getting through it! I can imagine that kids of a certain age would absolutely love this with all the distinct characters (both cats and dogs) and funny action bits, but I think that for adult watchers, there are kids' movies that better cater to both audiences just a little bit more. Mr. Tinkles was so great, though, as was Jeff Goldblum.
