Matt Dillon and Gary Sinise play brothers Dova and Milo ... a couple of small-time crooks suddenly in way over their heads. When a holdup goes terribly wrong, the robbers flee to a local bar, desperately taking everyone inside hostage. With nowhere to run and time running out, it's a deadly situation where every second counts! (Buena Vista)

For the cast, this should have been better.

The claustrophobic setting seems more suitable for the stage than the screen, and the plot twists don't bend very far from predictable.

Some interesting scenes for being stuck in the same place and some decent acting from a strong cast but the whole thing feels pretty slow.

Watched for the sole purpose of finding any retrospective insight into the combined creative talents of Kevin Spacey (in a rare turn, the Director) and Weinstein (in a not-so-rare turn, the douchebag Distributor). Imagine my glee when Viggo Mortensen says his first lines with COCK emblazoned on the background wall! (One half of the word "cocktail" in a bar - wait, who's the tail? Skeet Ulrich? Viggo?!) But really, at my best attempt at objectivity, the cast is better than the movie.

I did expect a little more from this crime thriller with a stellar ensemble cast. Still intense and compelling.
