Raspy and grimacing Jeffrey Combs is more Adam West than Dr. Herbert West as he faces off a cast of Spaniards in this cheapo installment. With hardly any creative humor, gore, or sex, it just staggers like a refrigerated corpse to the stoopid climax. Depressing.

Bride wasn't as good as the first movie but it still tried to deliver everything the first did. This one tries to throw in a barrage of wacky & shocking stuff in the last 30 minutes or so, but none of it is surprising. Everything before that (except for a solid prelude) is a huge sin for Reanimator - it's dull & boring, esp as we watch the female lead being constantly stalked. West also spends a good chunk of the film seeming more like a bullied nerd than the smug ahole we've come to enjoy.

More proof that horror series get gradually worse.

The acting was so atrocious I couldn't even finish watching. The story was good enough, and Dr. West seemed to be a complex character.

13 years after the last film, Dr. Herbert West is still conducting his experiments while in prison, and meets a young doctor interested in continuing his research into the reanimation of dead flesh. While the prison setting screams low budget, there's a ton of really good practical gore effects and Jeffrey Combs slips back into the skin of the creepy Dr. West with ease. Not quite as funny as the previous movies, though.

I was way too hammered when I saw this to remember much of anything. It might have been a product of delirium but I have a vague recollection of rats fighting a re-animated penis so I guess it was decent.

Looks, feels and sounds like every other shitty mainstream horror movie of its decade, which was something the earlier entries in the franchise managed to avoid. This is all topped off with a painfully bad script, and a cast not willing or able to do much with it. The third act gets pretty frenetic but it's not quite enough to justify sitting through the first two. Aside from that jaunty leitmotif in the soundtrack, this is almost unrecognizable as a Re-Animator film.

The final - and weakest - of the three, there's nothing inherently terrible about 'Beyond...' but it just feels as if it's trying way too hard to recreate the vibe of the first, without offering up enough originality to make it worth it in its own right. There are some new ideas that work (the prison setting, the warden, the junkie) but much is the same rather old, increasingly tired crap. Having said that, if another sequel was made I'd probably still give it a go.

O....kay. Let's be honest, the only person who can act here is Jeffrey Combs. Speaking of which, just give Herbert West the Nobel Prize for Medicine already.

A surprisingly well-done horror sequel that builds on the anarchic silliness of the original, with some fine effects setpieces.

A good pacing at the beginning gives way to complete over the top horror/action that should have failed considering the low budget and bad actors, but succeeds in spite of it's failings due to hilariously gruesome gore action.

well it sticks to the vibes of the first two but the script is was more sloppy. Why did the riot happen? if your in jail you dont just start a riot because the gaurd drops his keys, if that were the case they could have beatin him up and stole the keys and rioted anytime they wanted, besides that its alright especially since combs returns once again as one of the maddest scientists of all time

Not as good as the previous films, but there is a lot of gory zombie mayhem which makes for a really good time.

Has some quality moments and Combs is great as usual, the rest is a mixed bag sadly.

Genre fans rejoice! A by-the-numbers sequel that delivers solidly, though doesn't ever cross into "great" with this update.

Horrible acting. Love the story though and a prison is a great setting. Elsa is beautiful 2 :D. The dick scene was.... well, let's forget that ^^.

Elsa Pataky is pretty talented. And as the ending credits roll, the film ends with a fight between a feral mouse and a re-animated severed penis. Other than that, there's nothing particularly interesting to see in the third Re-Animator film.

Jeffrey Combs can do no wrong in this 80s gorefest that found its way into the early 2000s

A decent sequel to a good movie. Jeffrey Combs does an excellent job reprising his role as Herbert West. There are two moments in the movie where editing is greatly needed. A nice amount of gore to fill your needs. This movie does as excellen job as a sequel. The sparring scene between the mouse and the penis is something unexpected but wildly hilarious. The only problem I have with this movie is that there's not explanation on HOW he survived the end of "Bride of Re-Animator."
