The best of author Dusan Kovacevic!!!! If we subjoin with fabulous Bata Stojkovic we get one of the best films ever....

What a little miracle this movie is! It reeks of the Coen brothers at their best, exploiting a screwball set-up for a mentally destabilizing punchine. When a looney landlord is led to believe his tenant is a spy, he lets it consume him. He becomes the spy himself. But what if that zany character lived in the real world? The movie spends 2/3 accepting his frame of mind. Just as we begin to question the sanity of the lead, Kovacevic does, too. His final descent is a world class performace.

Briliant movie about way of thinking in communist regimes. If you realy want to understand how such a regime can disturb weak mind, watch this film, even translated it would be good.

Best movie ever from Yugoslavian cinematography. Brilliant performance from Danilo "Bata" Stojkovic, some like to say out of fun that it is one of the best roles ever played (Hollywood included), they are not far from truth! Fantastic!!

Want to see it again and again

The premise of an anti-spy paranoiac becoming a full-time spy himself just to "unmask" an innocent, is pretty clever as political satire. Regretfully it doesn't fully realize its potential. It does feature many amusing moments, but then doesn't entirely know what to do at the ends of its various buildups, and you see a lot of hammy acting over kind of anticlimactic text.
