Ricky has been given a new identity by the FBI after helping to catch a drug-dealing FBI agent. 15 years later, his former fiancé discovers him, resulting in Ricky getting some corrupt FBI agents after him.

I remember this as good -albeit brainless- fun, but that was almost twenty years ago..

This was ok in the 80's but now it just sucks. Mel Gibson is alright but he is pretty much playing Riggs from Lethal Weapon. Goldie Hawn on the other hand is so annoying you spent the whole time wishing she would shut up. Not really much of a storyline either. Some of the scenes have you thinking just what was the point in that as it jumps to the next film. This really shows its age there are far better films to be watching.

A well meaning but ultimately lame romantic adventure with Mel Gibson as a former hippie in the witness relocation program whose cover is blown, leaving him to escape his would-be killers who want revenge for his selling them out. Goldie Hawn is in top form as a former lover who must go on the run with him. You'll want to like it for the charisma of the two leads, but the senseless twists and turns of the plot will try your patience. Only 10% of the stunts in this movie will make any sense.

Goofy romantic-action-comedy. Mel Gibson always manages to make throwaway studio stuff entertaining.

Parts were set in my hometown, I wonder if people in New York get as angry at Woody Allen films as I did at this turd?

Goldie Hawn. How utterly annoying.

This is a pretty forgettable 80's action film that came out when we were done with 80's action films. It offers nothing new, and is just another cliche. I wouldn't say the film was bad, but there is almost no reason to recommend or watch it, as there are literally dozens of movies with very similar plots, better actors, and more convincing action sequences to choose from.

Mel Gibson did several action buddy films that were fun to watch. In "Bird on a Wire" the romantic connection never clicks and you're left with a substandard buddy movie.

Formulaic action-comedy. A promising plot is eschewed in favor of madcap chases.

THE CEMENT! THE FUCKING CEMENT!! IT'S GOING TO DRY AND FUCK YOUR FEET... oh don't worry, it's fine. the aeroplane crash landing helped shake it off.

Lots of cliches and not much else. I liked it when I was younger, but it's a pretty stale idea without much substance.

Uh.. yeah.. I guess that's what sold tickets in 1990.

Barely remember it from my childhood days, but there was a funny scene or two, I suppose.

For some reason I like to refer to this one as "Corned Beef of Rhye". Why? Because it more entertaining than calling it "Goldie Hawn's Getting Way Too Old and Tired To Play the Qirky Damsel in Distress Part Anymore".
