I wasn't a fan of this story when it came out in comic form, and this animated attempt did not change that feeling for the better. Adding Captain Ma-, erm, Shazam does nothing for the story and all the childish humor and douchebaggy characters got on my nerves quickly. Does my slow but inevitable transformation into a bitter old man have anything to do with these annoyances? Not featured in this: an actual war of any kind.

Solid action and great intros to all the Justice League. It was a quick paced film that kept things both grounded and allowed us to see the scope of this universe. Particularly enjoyed Cyborg as it was nice to see another character gain a little more spotlight. Everyone got some key pieces of action to showcase what will come and it was good. Started off strong.

Action-packed, but lacking in the writing department. Most of the heroes act sporadically out of character compared to their comic book counterparts. As usual for the DCAU, the animation, voice-acting and music is all very well done. The origin story presented in the Justice League TV series is executed much better. Still worth a watch if you're looking for some dumb superhero fun.

A mediocre adaptation of an extremely mediocre comic storyline. Its a bit better in some areas than the source material, but surprisingly manages to be stupider in other areas. Not even the great DC Animated movie team could make this version of the Justice League compelling or anything more than an embarrassment.

I am a huge DC Comics Fan and this is pretty bad. Most of the voice acting is just complete garbage and quite a few of the characters, including the main villain are left underdeveloped. That said, Batman, Cyborg, Green Lantern, and Shazam are all done pretty well. Also there really is a lack of good story telling here. Even for my main man Geoff Johns. Oh well.

This one was a lot of fun and I thought that the characters were all funny and great.

The writing was pretty childish and could be pretty asinine at times, but still a pretty fun movie with pretty good characterization all around. I liked that this movie really felt like that the heroes were working together as a team and actually had to combine their talents to defeat a common foe, which isn't something a lot of other DC animated movies do well. The origin stories are something I could do without, but I don't feel they hindered the story overall.

Moved up 3 tiers or so on a second rewatch. I don't like the voice acting at all in this. None of the familiar voice actors for these iconic heroes are on set, but the story of how the Justice League first comes together whips and crackles with the urgency of a Shazam lightning bolt. Some funny jokes land, throughout, but the main draw is the epic battle with Darkseid that takes the back half of the movie. If you just love seeing superheroes fighting baddies, this one's for you.

The high ranking for this is mostly due to the excellent characterization, I loved them all: Asshole Superman, Anime-girl Wonder Woman (well, mostly), daddy issues Cyborg, rookie Green Lantern, suger-rush Flash and not least: street urchin smart ass Captain Marvel (I refuse to call him Shazam). And it took the right approach to superhero ensembles: Remembering to have some goddamn fun. Well worth a watch.

Bad animated superhero film based off a bad comic event. A perfect match!

Action packed with decent story and Green Lantern & Batman bromance was good.. but script was bit too childish and not fully developed.

I really enjoyed the no-frills action here and the simple origin story. The clear characterization of the heroes might not leave them as very deep characters but it certainly worked for a movie of this magnitude and with this kind of plot; you know who everyone is and where they are coming from and then it is time to fight the bad guy. Which is Darkseid. Who happens to be one of my favorite villains. It was a bit weird to see Captain Marvel instead of Aquaman, and with a name-change too, though.

The runtime is short I get it but wow did this story feel rushed. Every character (besides Flash and Cyborg) is arrogant, selfish and cynical, which doesn't make for the most enjoyable team up so to speak. That being said each character does get fair and equal screentime and opportunity to showcase their powers, Darkseid is an effective villain, and the action is well animated. I like it but never would have guessed it could spawn a whole animated JL series of films.

This one is good. I feel they make these movies to long and the main story goes everywhere. So Dark Side bat Soldiers plant bombs for Dark Side to come and destroy the planet. Wonder Woman takes out Dark Side. Superman is captured by the bats as they want to turn Superman Evil. He then comes and helps defeat dark Side. Batman & Laturn have there side story along with Victor and Shazam. Flash is there too. So they banish Dark Side in a portal.

I got what I wanted out of this. A bunch of superheroes, in movie format, interacting with each other in badass/funny/exciting ways. All the characters are developed enough for something that isn't really that long, the action works, animation is good. I enjoy the storyline, though having the Snydercut now makes this seem lightweight in comparison. But on its own, I dig this.
