Summary: Balamani (Navya Nair), a maid at the house of the 84-year old Unniyamma (Kaviyoor Ponnamma) in Guruvayur, & Manu (Prithviraj), Unniyamma's grandson, fall in love, but the disparity in their social statuses get in the way & Manu's marriage is fixed to a US-based girl by his mother Thankam (Revathy). However, on the eve of the wedding, the bride-to-be elopes with someone else & Manu's extended family starts searching for a replacement. Bringing up Balamani's name, however, draws stiff opposition.
