DVD Report – September 9th

An interesting selection of films in this week’s new releases to DVD, and the pick of the bunch isn’t Amy Poehler & Tina Fey’s comedy Baby Mama, but The Fall: a much less well-known film from Tarsem Singh. Singh’s last big release was the whacked-out J. Lo film The Cell, and with The Fall he’s kept his love for 4-letter film titles, mind-blowingly exquisite sets, and a mixture of fantasy and reality. It’s saddening that not more people saw this unique film in cinemas, but perhaps it will find a proper audience on DVD…
