For a long time, we’ve been collecting your ideas and suggestions for the film list page — one of the most frequently visited areas on Criticker — and we’re happy to introduce a completely new iteration of it.
We re-designed the new film list page (now called Film Database in the menu) from the top-down, always keeping in mind your suggestions and ideas, of which we’ve incorporated as many as possible. The number of ways to filter and sort films is greatly enhanced. Here are examples of some of the new things you can do:
· Match All Genres – For example, films which are sci-fi and comedy
· Filter by Popularity – Somewhat well-known animation
· By Filmmaker – Christopher Lee’s Horror Films
· Order by # Rankings – The most frequently ranked films of 1952
· Order by Year – Best Picture Oscar (collection), ordered by year
· Order by Date Ranked – Your list of films, in the order you ranked them
· Indicate Mini-Reviews – Display icons indicating which of mpowell’s scores have mini-reviews
· Save Filters – If you’ve got a filter you’d like to use over again, you can easily save it in our database.
These are just the most drastic changes to the page — there are a lot of other subtle improvements as well. It’s much more well-designed and functional.
We’re pretty confident that you’re going to like the changes but, as always with new enhancements at poor understaffed Criticker, there are likely to be errors. Please report any problems you might find to our support email address. And if you come up with clever or interesting filters, be sure to let us know in the comments!

Nice stuff but the feed for new films added doesn’t work now…
In Quicky’s collection ‘Oscar: Best Picture’ (http://www.criticker.com/?fl&view=all&filter=e3139zod), there’s this error:
“View ’s Profile”
Still non-added films don’t appear anymore in collections.
Align the films in the ‘Film List’ page, by shortening the big titles as you have done it in the past.
Collections/filters with few titles have too much white space.
The save “Your Rankings” as txt/html/xml buttons seem to have gone missing. Maybe there should be such an option for whatever list is currently being displayed?
Writing Enter, to search a movie to add to a collection, doesn’t work anymore…
(above: “Writing and Enter”)
another bug: removing a film from a collection doesn’t delete it, it still appears in it.
Another bug when searching for new films to add to a collection: http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/6269/bugxrk.png
Thanks for all those notes… there’s an ongoing thread in the forum where we’re alerting people to the bugs we fix. You might want to keep an eye on that

*SOLVED*
“another bug: removing a film from a collection doesn’t delete it, it still appears in it.”
*SOLVED*
“the feed for new films added doesn’t work now”
multiple searches don’t work in collections but seriously, more important than anything, align those titles, it seems all so random
could you order the genres in the film database in a alphabetic order – instead of “romance; comedy; drama (…)” to “action; adventure; comedy; (…)”? thanks
filtering by score would be nice
the counter is not working correctly @ the “all you rankings” page, and in the same page, the tiers don’t appear
btw, the titles are now aligned. awesome.
