A couple days ago, we introduced a much sought-after bit of information on the page of every film in Criticker — the average tier and total number of rankings.
This makes it easy to see the relative popularity of a film, based on the number of people who’ve seen it. The PSI is still the personalized recommendation, but the average tier might also be of interest to many users.
It might be slow going, but we’re constantly working on enhancing Criticker… little small steps all the time. We’re glad you’re sticking with us!
We’ve just introduced a small new enhancement, which allows you to remove films from a collection when you’re looking at the collection in the Film Database.
Just a quick little improvement which will hopefully make it easier for you to administer your collections, without having to go into the moderation screen or the page for each individual film.
We’ve just made another small change to the Film Information page. If you’ve seen the movie, you’ll now see the date you ranked it in the list of information.
Just a minor change, but one that we hope improves your experience a bit!
We just released a new feature which extends the ability to rank movies to the page of each actor, director or screenwriter. Now, you can rank the movies found in Jim Wynorski‘s repertoire without having to click on each one individually. And since you’ve seen a lot of Mr. Wynorski’s films, this will save you a lot of time!

We’ve just added a bit new functionality to the Film Information page, which allows you to view the history of film updates. When available, just click on the link which says “View Update History”, and you’ll get a list of all the updates which various users have made to the film.

We’ve completely redesigned the logic behind the Film Database page, speeding up performance considerably. Now, you should be able to filter on Horror Films from Norway of the 1950s without having to wait an eternity.
Also, we’ve used the opportunity to introduce a long awaited request — the ability to browse film which are still awaiting approval. The link is only visible from the “New Films” page. Or you can get to it directly here by using this link:

As always when we make changes, and especially considering the breadth of back-end updates to the database queries of the Film Database, we both fear and expect errors. Please report them via email or in the “Bug Reports” area of the forums.
Spurred by general community annoyance about the inability to submit and rank movies like A Serbian Film, we’ve removed the roadblock that prevented the addition of adult titles into Criticker. With a few little conditions…
1) Your birthday must be filled out in your profile, and:
2) Indicate that you are 18 years or older.
3) And you must specifically state you want to include adult films in your Criticker results.
Come and Get It
Please, when submitting adult titles, we ask that you continue to refrain from sexually explicit summaries and images. Also, please let us know if you see an “adult” title appear where it shouldn’t (ie. you haven’t asked to see Adult titles, but “A Serbian Film” appears as a recommendation somewhere).
