Famous Actress Nude in Tub

That got your attention, didn’t it? And guess what… it’s not a lie. A famous, Oscar-nominated actress just posed nude in the tub for New York Magazine. Yeah, buddy. Nipple.

Don’t let the fact that the actress is 65 year-old Helen Mirren stop you from clicking. She looks good for a 65 year-old! If I look that good at 65, I’ll be getting my kit off all over the place! Bathtubs, bedrooms, playgrounds, don’t matter.

Here’s the photo series. You know you’re going to click it, so just go ahead.

Hockey Mom: The Movie

Not this time, Putin!

Brought to you by The Disney Channel. That’s how Matt Damon describes the prospect of a Palin presidency…

We at Criticker don’t often get political, but The Palin Show has been the most riveting piece of entertainment we’ve seen in ages. And Damon’s right about one thing: the prospect of this person as President is equal parts absurd and terrifying …

maximum levels of political content breached — revert immediately to non-controversial entertainment fluff

Fine. Then, just let’s settle back with this clip of Sarah Palin holed up in Alaska, preparing for her first national interview, via Andrew Sullivan:

Goodbye, Bernie Mac

… we hardly knew you.

At the young age of 50, Bernie Mac has passed away from complications of pneumonia. He was probably best known from his self-monikered television show The Bernie Mac show, though he had a strong presence in cinema, too, as one of the stars of Ocean’s Eleven through Thirteen.

If you’ve got a little time and are feeling sentimental, check out this clip of Bernie from The Original Kings of Comedy — one of his highest rated films among the users of Criticker. Hilarious.

Bernie is still set to appear, post-humously with Samuel L. Jackson in “Soul Men” and with John Travolta in “Old Dogs”.

It’s tragic, and always shocking when rich celebrities die from illnesses as ordinary as pneumonia. The loss came as a surprise to his family and friends… and we’ll all miss the comedy that Bernie still had left in him.

Searching for the Next Tom Hanks

next-tom-hanks

Film.com profiles 6 young actors that might make it to Hollywood’s A-List and become “the next Tom Hanks”. We’re not sure how Jonah Hill made it onto this list, or why Tom Hanks is being put on a pedestal, but that’s beside the point. Here are the six on Film.com’s short list:

To spice things up, we’ve made a Amazon Unspun widget. Vote for your favorite young actor, or add others (under 25 years old, please) and let’s see who the Criticker Community likes!

Jackie Chan’s Most Painful Moments

I just recently watched Drunken Master and was stunned by his stunts. Famously, these stunts often go wrong, which this video entertainingly demonstrates.

Elijah Wood’s Crazy Dance

Elijah Wood doing the Puppet Master dance. I’m not sure what’s scarier – the movie or this dance.
