When it gets to the actual interview the film takes a turn for the grand the problem is actually getting to that point. More than half the film takes a mystical approach about the director's journey to meet the Dalai Lama. While it does relate some interesting information for those that don't know about Buddhism it really drags as Rick Ray seems to delight in his ability to drag out how wonderful the things he's talking about are. The treasure here is the Dalai Lama, nothing else.
