The loony serial killer here seems like he could be an influence on Patrick Batemen (Christian Bale in American Psycho). Good little movie.

Bronson plays a role very similar to his character in "Death Wish"; a decent citizen whose life is upturned by a violent maniac who flouts the law, turning our hero into a vigilante. Bronson is masterful and compelling as always, even with the threadbare, basic script. There are a few decent action scenes later on, but it's disappointing by Death Wish standards. Bronson can only carry the film so far, too; it's still entertaining, but largely forgettable among his work.

Sleazy as all hell, but damn if I love me some Bronson, particularly Cannon Pictures Bronson. Death Wish 3 still reigns supreme, however for sheer insanity.
