OK film. Cena is alright, but the film needs something else to really work. Good pace of action, but that's all really.

Wow! Am I getting tired of these movies in which the protaganist is trying to save his family by putting the general public in severe harms way and we are supposed to think hes a hero in doing so! I think this is par for course with the mentality of the WWE crowd and its self-centered altitude towards human life. Enuff said! ...Oh and of course the movie sucked all around.

This movie is only about senseless destruction of property. There is nothing in this movie that can be called not bad. Probably wrestlers should do what they are famous for wrestling and not venture into anything else. This movie is the perfect example of everything done wrong. That said, my recommendation dont see this movie even if it is the last movie left on earth, you will be better off.

You know, it was damn lucky that there wasn't any more fire in this movie. Half of the cast would have melted.

RENNY HARLIN IS A TWAT, not a tight warm sopping one but rather a dry loose stinky one.

This could have been named the Son of Speed..Cena does his best to be the hero in distress..but he is such a one note actor you cant get into this role. Its a bad movie, with really bad acting all across the board...Renny must have got a good pay day for this one...this makes his other misses, seem like hits

Stupid movie and very bad acting

Laughably bad. John Cena is not going to be an action star. So beefy and lumbering and stupid-looking. But I had fun watching this; the night before, I'd seen Steve McQueen's Hunger, and was in the mood to watch someone well-fed do heroic things, however ridiculous.

in the end it turns out to be a little less mindless than i had thought, but up until that point the clues in the rounds are so painfully obvious that it really reveals the intelligence level of the average professional wrestling fan. now if it had more explosions and violence i probably would have liked it more, i wonder what that says about my intelligence?

This movie, from the producers of the atrocious Cena vehicle 'The Marine,' is a blatant rip-off of 'Die Hard with a Vengeance' and 'Speed' blended together. The acting is mostly terrible, with Cena being the the worst presence of all. How this dodged the straight-to-DVD bin is beyond me. On a surface level this is an easily watchable action movie that's not the worst you'll ever see, but it really hinges on Cena's shoulders and the man doesn't have the charisma or delivery to carry the project.

Renny Harlin proves once again that he can't direct worth crap. I saw this hoping it'd be a "so bad it's good" movie like The Marine, but aside from a few WTF laughs, this action thriller fails to build any suspense or tension despite a decent premise--even if it was one done much better in Die Hard 3.

Everytime I see a professional wrestler trying to find his place in the acting department, I literally start to chuckle. Renny Harlin gives one of the most incompetent, useless, floundering, inept and pointless efforts to regerenate and capture the praise and success of his previous hits (Die Hard and Speed as far as I'm concerned). It's predictable, it's calculable and foreseeable in every possible way. It's a good thing that crap like this is struggling and gradually slumping in earnings. Bad.

A goofy mid-90s action movie that happens to have been made in the late 00s. Plenty of crashed vehicles and explosions, although sadly no tits. John Cena is no Arnold or Stallone, but I'd put him about on par with Seagal or Norris as far as dramatic talent.

Wow! John Cena makes another movie, reminded me alot of the Marine and thats not really a good thing. This movie has some pretty bad acting, script writting, plot summary, and well it just over all sucked. I watched this simply to see how bad in comparison to his other film the Marine and i would say this one was a bit better because i was busting a gut from laughter. Ive never seen a cop stop a man with a boat b4 but it was that kind of stuff that made this so irrististably funny!

I actually liked The Marine, it was decent enough. However John Cena decided to follow it up by downgrading himself from a D list actor to an F list actor. The plot was just disgustingly childish, the action was lame, and overall the film featured 12 Rounds too many. Grade: D

Once again Cena delivers joyful entertainment with absolutely no brains. Acting and screenplay are horrible but who cares?

It's like a less bloody, unfunny and less exciting version of "Die Hard With A Vengeance." It is, however, for a WWE films production almost a masterpiece. A little more blood and some bad words might actually make me tell people to watch it.

Veteran action director Harlin loads up on the standard barrage of car chases and fist-pumping action, but a shoddy script leaves much to be explained. WWE wrestler Cena proves capable of handling his new career but he's no Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, as sad as that may sound.

One might think that reducing a city to rubble for 108 minute could not be overly boring. It can. 12 Rounds is a brillantly boring orgy of destruction because Cena is not Bruce Willis and 12 Rounds is never even close to be any part of Die Hard. 01/12/09

Speed plus Die Hard 3 would seem like a good idea, but when you add The Marine to the equation you get a total turdfest of a movie. Filled with terrible dialogue, bad acting, not an ounce of originality, and worst of all it's an action film that isn't fun.
