Summary: After a mysterious stranger visits her on her 16th birthday, Abby Jensen (Debby Ryan) discovers that her 16 dearest "grown-up" wishes are coming true: She becomes popular, wins the affections of a cute boy and more. Overall, good sentiments and lessons--it has energy that makes you want to root for the 'good girl' and see her get revenge for years of being mistreated/bullied, etc, but ends up putting the audience in front of a mirror. Should we want revenge? Does negative energy end up shaping who we are? Acting is spotty, but sophisticated for a Disney Channel movie and, as long as they watch the whole movie, it teaches kids to appreciate what they have instead of being defined by materials and popularity.
