Sometimes movies are so bad that they are funny and entertaining in their own way. Rest assured this is not one of those movies.

Releasing movies like this should be prosecuted! I mean it. Let's say - 10 day in prison for the director and a 10 thousand dollar fine for the scriptwriter (plus confiscation of their typewriter of course).

A scientist finds an ancient Maya relic, a golden crusified Jesus figure from the heart of Mexico! What you can expect from the story like that. Movie is written and edited by director, there's no big actors in leading role (actually I cannot point out any of the cast), there's no special character directing and all effects are added afterwards by computer (believe me, they are easy to see).

Terrible writing, bad acting, and a painful sound edit (the ADR is so bad it feels like a dubbed foreign movie.) I respect that the filmmakers are trying to send a Christian message, but they should really try starting with a script that doesn't make the baby Jesus cry.

The characters in this film are making their way to a pyramid in groups of two. Inevitably they get into a theological argument which always goes the same way. "How can there be a God when bad things happen?" with the response "God is magical and wonderful and its all his plan and he made everything and he knows what's best for us and we can't understand it have faith in him praise be to the lord". It's Babies First Existentialist Debate. It’s weak and wet and just nothing. And the film sucked.

They should follow this up with a movie about the people inconvenienced by the sudden disappearance of those who were raptured. "Mister... Mister President! Where'd he go?! Now we'll never get those launch codes."

Religious propaganda can be hilarious in its heavyhandedness and its ludicrous themes. I almost enjoy Christian Apocalypse films because of that and the fact they are all universally horrible. This one is no different. The writing is terrible, the acting is terrible, the direction is pretty bland, the effects are really awful, and the themes attempt to hit you over the head. I think the movie is hilarious for its ineptitude, but tread only if you can take such filmed incompetence.
