Why it took me so long to see this I'll never know because it's an awesome film. Gerard Butler leads the way as King Leonidas, who leads his 300 Spartans into a vicious battles against Xerxes massive army. Its full of action, blood, a little bit of romance and drama, so its barely missing anything. The fight scenes are obviously awesome and filmed very well. Its also a real man's movie which I cant see any guy not enjoying. Overall a great film I would highly reccomend for any guy out there :)

The presentation is undeniably a feast for the eyes, even more so in HD, but alas, that's about it.

300 substitutes intelligence and good writing for violence, lots of shouting, and a lot of half-naked bodybuilders. There's been a lot of controversy but it really is too stupid to have any ill will against any particular group.

A horrific film. Brutal, unnecessarily violent, cartoonish, ridiculous, bloodlust, boring, Zack Snyder's militaristic adaptation of Frank Miller's graphic novel is insulting and, worst of all, it's not even interesting.

Poor Herodotus. He wrote a fantastic account of this battle, and this is the cinematic result? The kernel of the story is amazing, but Snyder and company have taken all the nuance and subtlety and replaced them with overstated platitudes and disgusting scenes of gore and debauchery. The film talks down to its viewers, underlining every point multiple times while managing to say little of actual value. There's a limited appeal to the animation, but it wears off pretty quickly.

There's alot to ask with the story and characters, and Butler overacts to the point it feels fake. However, the film is still a fun and stunning battle

The ultimate guys film

If you forgot to buy a present, you can't just wrap "nothing" up in Sin City CGI visuals. It doesn't count!

I was hoping McNulty would bust some persians while butler was ejaculating all over himself and rolling around in the mud.
