Aziz Ansari is hilarious. A little crude at times but still fun

A throwback sit-com which hits the funny without asking its audience to think... well, at all. Felt like Danny McBride wrote it even though he didn't, same kind of comedy, but comes off better than his last effort ("Your Highness"). McBride is starting to suffer from Will Ferrell syndrome (playing the same character each and every time out). I wonder how many people caught the "Social Network" reference early on, I laughed at that a lot. It did its job, but I won't seek out seeing it ever again.

There's just something missing in '30 Minutes or Less' that I can't put my finger on. Everyone here has comedic talent and plays right into the type that you'd expect them to; yet something just doesn't feel complete. Maybe it's that lack of freshness that makes '30 Minutes or Less' feel like a let down. The one thing that I can credit the movie for is moving a pretty fast clip. It doesn't give you much time to get bored with the jokes that fall flat as you're on to the next sequence in no time.

This is a funny movie with a interesting cast. Jesse Eisenberg and Aziz Ansari work well together. The script has plenty of entertaining moments. I recommend this funny movie.

One of the funnier movies I've seen this year. I like the chemistry between Aziz and Jesse a lot (Eisenberg picks up the slack for Ansari's terrible acting), and Michael Pena's character is a riot. I'd rate it higher, but I'm really starting to get Danny McBride fatigue cause the guy plays the same damn character in every movie he's in.

A bit hit or miss. I like the parts with Eisenberg & Ansari, but the McBride/Swardson scenes often feel like they're trying too hard. Ending was abrupt, and felt like there was a scene cut out.

Quirky but an enjoyable comedy.

Met my expectations. Pretty funny, pretty dumb.

I had high expectations for this movie but it really wasn't too funny. It's hard to describe why I didn't find it funny. I think the characters were just really two-dimensional. The movie did have a lot of action to it with explosions and car chases. So as far as action movies go, this wasn't too bad. Jesse Eisenberg was good and so was Bianca Kajlich. Danny McBride was super disappointing though, I usually like him but this was his worst acting job so far. A few laughs, good action. Average

A couple of laughs but not many, keeps hammering at the penis and gay jokes without any variation or wit. Feels like it desperately wants to be a Harold and Kumar film but does not have the quality

Tone deaf. That's all I can think to say, really. The most clueless, most vigorously unfunny comedy of 2011. There is literally no reason--that I can fathom, anyway--why anybody would ever want or need to see this, unless you have a really strong desire to watch Aziz Ansari lay claim to the title of the most annoying person on Earth.

Bland jokes and characters alongside the poor performances all around make what would seem like an interesting story incredibly dull.

Eisenberg's screen presence barely carries this one, as Aziz Ansari is complelety out of his element. The script is very sub-par, it barely makes up for a dumb comedy flick.

Quite hilarious!

Messy comedy that's too mainstream to be a cult hit, and has pacing problems. There are a few giggles to be had, but Ansari and McBride are not on top form, and Eisenberg sleepwalks through the role.

A consistently funny flick. Eisenberg does a lot of his usual thing, but it works to create chemistry with the similar fast-talking Ansari. I can't say I've grown tired of McBride as I haven't seen him in that much (who paid to see Your Highness anyway?), so while he doesn't move an inch out of his comfort zone, it didn't hurt the film for me. It gets a bit overzealous in its raunchiness at times (I'm thinking of you, strippers), but the laughs never stop the whole runtime.

This film doesn't plumb the depths of the human soul, at best it is a trite ode to avarice, but I laughed all the same and regardless of its inane and ridiculous plot. The dialgoue isn't particularly witty, but it is delivered with aplomb, and Eisenberg is a great straight man for Ansari's hysterics. The situation itself is better still, far funnier than I would have imagined, I only wish they had made better use of it, particularly McBride's clueless yet oddly effective would be murderer.

30 Minutes or Less is a second movie that feels more like a first: slipshod, derivative, and unsure what tone to take toward its own sometimes distasteful subject matter.

Doesn't blow you away yet it is filled with a bunch of funny people delivering the occasional funny line.

Just wonderful. A really entertaining, light-hearted romp.

It's okay, wasn't expecting much but there are some laughs here and there.

Fewer laughs and a shorter run time than I expected, it seems like this flick just got started by the time in ends. Ansari and Pena are the real reasons to watch, but Swardson and McBride's commercial at the end remains one of the few highlights of the movie for me.
