Summary: A poor mother abandons her daughter on the doorstep of a wealthy family. On the way home she becomes ill, but manages to confess what she's done to a priest before she dies. The priest adopts her son. He grows up and falls in love with a girl he saved from a runaway horse. When the priest visits her parents' house to arrange the engagement, he discovers she's the long-lost daughter. (imdb)
