Summary: It's Father's Day, and Junyer and Ma have a bunch of big surprises in store for good ol' Pa, including a pipe filled with gunpowder. To top it off, there's a gala Father's Day pageant, and Pa sits cringing through Junyer's recitation and aghast at Ma's tap-dancing rendition of "I'm Just Wild About Father." (imdb)

Competently animated but braindead with regards to timing, voice acting, and gags. Painful and unfun to watch.

Rarely has Chuck Jones's broad brand of humour been rendered as starkly condescending and simple-minded as it is in A Bear for Punishment, which reduces the Three Bears (a funny trio in the correct setting) to the most unappealingly flat comic characters. You'd presume, given Father Bear's predilection for disdain and abusiveness, that an episode focused around Father's Day might work yet Jones murders any hint of laugh-worthy matter.
