Maybe Kubrick's best film. Banned in Britain (where it was made) and still popular today with young people not even born during its rocky original release (when it was first rated X by the MPAA), this acerbically tongue-in-cheek head trip is one you're not likely to forget.

The sparsely arresting visuals ultimately failed to rescue this ponderous giant. I must admit, I never got to the end!

Excellent film, however a slight lull in the middle.

A very clever look at how agression permeates our society, with great visuals - a trademark Kubrick movie.

A classic, surreal film in with involving drama. Entertainingly surreal as opposed to being so surreal you can't identify with it. A strong message about society and it's violence and a satirical criticism of politics and society. Lots of deeper meaning that is portrayed well through an entertaining film. The film deals with morals of humanity and the psychology of the human mind. We surprisingly sympathise with the violent protagonist because of the way in which society has treated him.

Its uncompromising estrangement of any usual morality may be uncomfortable to many, but those that find themselves obsessed with a well-told plot and the beauty behind the visual construction of film will fall in love with A Clockwork Orange. Despite its seemingly simple sets and environs, Clockwork still somehow has that incredible Kubrick touch that renders it spectacularly beautiful. Amazingly well paced and built, its an alternative, not simply a retelling, to the Burgess classic.
