A film adaptation which falls short of the mark and feels slightly off a significant portion of the time, A Little Night Music is oddly entertaining. Elizabeth Taylor delivers an underrated and sympathetic performance (despite a shaky singing voice.) Diana Rigg delivers a brilliant performance, while Len Carious seems a bit self-conscious on camera. The aesthetic feels flawed at times, the direction odd and patchy (with the exception of a wonderful montage), and a few too many songs are missing.
