As a thriller, it's surprisingly effective, but it makes no effort at characterisation whatsoever, and so it comes across feeling relatively stale and lifeless -- a fact not helped by the (thankfully limited) dialogue, which makes the whole thing feel a lot more like a PSA against homophobia than an interesting narrative.
