Summary: Suzanne is 15 and is having sex with many boys, just for fun, but did not manage to really love one of them. Her family does not understand her. The father does not like her behaviour. When he leaves home, the mother becomes a little bit neurotic. And Suzanne's brother Robert, begins to beat her as a punishment... (imdb)

had not detailed depiction of mother. but that is covered up by the tension between fille-pere. dad was the man, with his wisdom. was great to see him in limbo in the last scene to get real him. needs patience to stand and go through it. has to be seen due to its portrayal of an interesting relationship between fille-pere and sister-brother.

Interestingly even-handed - the film never seems to side with any of the characters which keep a nice balance. Believability is a bit stretched at times which hurts the psychological analysis aspects, but we still get an interesting look at a father-daughter relationship. Some of the other observations fall very flat though. The filming of eye movement was great, but not enough to really deliver this one home.

There's a "Seinfeld" episode where the guys are all aching to see a movie called Rochelle Rochelle, "a young girl's strange erotic journey from Milan to Minsk". They think all the nubile nudity will be exciting, but they end up bored to tears. This is pretty much that movie. For most of it, it's a teenage peep show constantly being interrupted by discussions about nothing in particular that have no bearing on anything. Or worse, someone making some meaningless observation about love.

I'm not sure quite what to say about it as it kind of caught me off-guard - I will certainly need to see it again before I can articulate why I liked it so much, or even just to figure out quite how much I liked it - but I will just say for now that I liked it a lot and look forward to rewatching it when I feel ready.

It's not a bad movie, it held my attention with a quick pace and well written dialogue, unfortunately though, it is entirely vacuous.
