Summary: Jagannathan (Mohanlal), friend of a rich businessman Nandakumar (Saikumar), buys Kanimangalam Kovilakam, a disputed ancestral home currently occupied by a girl, Unnimaya (Manju Warrier) & her surrogate father Krishna Varma (Oduvil). He starts off scaring them, but soon turns benevolent, protecting the people of Kanimangalam from the evil patriarch of the Kolappulli family, Kolappulli Appan (Narendra Prasad) & deciding to restart the defunct festival at the Kanimangalam temple, angering Appan.
