Summary: Hari (Mohanlal), a welder living in the red-light district of Kamathipura in Mumbai, witnesses a gang-related murder & gets inadvertently involved with the Mumbai underworld. Amar Pakiya (Mahesh Anand), the reigning underworld don of Mumbai, orders the murder of the benevolent local boss Mudaliar (Poornam Vishwanathan), thus taking over Kamathipura's rule till Hari protests their atrocities & fights back.
