Summary: Sivaprasad aka Sivan (Mohanlal), a communist party worker, gets appointed as the chairman of the Devaswom Board, after being nominated by party leader Shekaran (Soman). When the head priest of the temple Parameshwaran Namboothiri (Thikkurisi ) goes against their corrupt ways, Sivan enlists the help of his best friend Vasu (Jayaram) to frame the priest, after which the priest commits suicide in humiliation. A guilty Vasu turns against the temple corruption causing friction between him & Sivan. (by iceblox)
