Summary: When the Malayali captain (Lalu Alex) of a foreign ship contacts hotshot laywer Bhaskera Pillai (Mammootty), about an amnesiac castaway on his ship, Basheer (Jagathi Sreekumar), whom he believes to be a Malayali but who has no documents to prove so, Bhaskera Pillai sets off on a crusade to deport Basheer from the ship, and faces various threats and obstacles in the bargain.
