Witty, absurd, dry, corny humor in this somewhat dated comedy with a flair of romance. For me personally it's a bit too absurd and not witty enough at times, but it's nevertheless quite good and I laughed many times. It reminded me of Monty Python quite a few times.

How could I not give this movie at least an 80? Sure, it's cheeseball shlock... but it's also dead funny and it essentially spawned a sub-genre of comedy films (Spy Hard, The Naked Gun, Hot Shots, etc.) that were all funny in that goofy sorta way. So yeah, this one deserves an 80.

Ninety minutes of silly puns and stupid pratfalls might've been funny in 1980, but this "comedy" is simply groanworthy today.

If it were possible to laugh yourself to death, then Airplane! would quickly have become the most prolific serial killer of all time. It is exceptionally funny, with some of the quickest humour and wittiest writing ever conceived. The jokes come hard and fast, each one causing so much laughter you're likely to miss the following three. A truly timeless film, Aiplane! soars to dizzying heights of comedy.
