Summary: Jake Barnes and his two kids, Sean and Jessie, have moved to Alaska after his wife died. He is a former airline pilot now delivering toilet paper across the mountains. During an emergency delivery in a storm his plane goes down somewhere in the mountains. Annoyed that the authorities aren't doing enough, Jessie and Sean set out on an adventure to find their father with the help of a polar bear which they have saved from a ferocious poacher (Charlton Heston). Conflict ensues. (imdb)

Once upon a time, Fraser Heston showed considerable promise. _Needful Things_ and his version of _Treasure Island_ are much better than they should have been. This here kiddie adventure movie OTOH is dumb

A reasonably good adventure flick in which 2 kids set out to find their Father with the help of a ultra-cute Polar Bear cub. The storyline is pretty simple with the obvious villain thrown in that isn't that scary, and a few life-threatning moments like the rapids scene. Overall still worth a watch because you'll instantly fall in love with that Polar Bear cub who is given the very clever name of 'Cubby' by Sean and Jessie.
