Sets, costumes and enviroments were okay. Viggo did a good job. The story's got the point but it was very bad executed and the entire movie was colossally too long. You did not care in the end what would happened to characters; there was no big emotions, no passionate storyline.

No, you can not mash 5 excellent books into a 2h-ish film. I knew the books, and I happened to know what was happening. The friends who came with me were at loss, since they were not fans of the novels. Scenery, duels and some of the supporting cast were terrific, Mortensen and the rest of the film were terrible. Read the books and enjoy more than with this film.
