Couldn't get into this at all. The film seems cold and passionless, both narratively and aesthetically. Binoche is the irritable ice queen while Loret plays a troubled, unstable introvert. The characters are largely unsympathetic, don't get on, and aren't given sufficient screen time to make their case when the film reaches its crux. Maybe the writer is saying that love is a mystery. The mystery to me is how anyone can see anything to like in this bleak and forgettable drama.
