the brownest of the alien films - quite bleak, but rounds the trilogy off well.

Granted, it does make the ending of Aliens somewhat hilarious.

Not as good as the two films that precede it, Alien 3 is often vastly underrated by critics and fans of the series. This carried the story on very nicely and provided a nice ending to the series. What? Alien Resurrection, you say? No such film exists. Leave me alone, I'm not listening to you any longer.

Easily the weakest of the Alien Franchise, not counting AVP or AVP 2. I used to like this film when I was younger but I recently watched it for the first time in years, and wow was it a mess. It was a boring mess. I understood that Fincher was trying to mimic the first film with a slow first hour and then all of a sudden an explosion of violence and mayhem, unfortunately most people have seen the first two and know whats coming, so to delay it as long as he did was a mistake. Fincher's weakest.

The Directors cut is so much better than the original release

classic sci-fi, turned even darker by david fincher. this is my favorite of the alien movies, maybe just because ripley shaves her head and becomes even gnarlier, if that's possible.

There are so many things wrong with this movie. Listing them would be pointless.

Not very interesting. Most certainly worse than all the previous ones. This also spawned a really bad 4th movie.

BD SPECIAL EDITION: Finally the movie gets redeemed as extra scenes are inserted to great effect both story- and mood-wise. Though A3 doesn't reach the heights of the previous two masterpieces, Fincher's movie is both bold and aesthetically interesting and serves as a pleasing end chapter to the trilogy. Oh... yeah... they made a forth one... well...
