There is way too much darkness in this film...that you have to use a flashlight to see the fighting,...but I enjoyed this movie not as good as the first but it was not the horrible car wreck it could have been

Utterly retarded. i remember watching this and my mind kept flashing "WTF". Shitty lines. SHitty action. ugh.

Instead of a straight action flick like most of the previous Alien, Predator, and Alien/Predator combination films, this one is more gory high body-count horror. The writers also made the odd choice of repeatedly introducing sympathetic characters and then immediately killing them in horrible ways, rather than the usual custom of mostly killing evil or random characters. Overall it's too confusingly shot (the bad lighting doesn't help) and random to be very good, but it's no worse than AvP 1.

Failed to take any lessons from the letdown that was AVP: Alien vs. Predator, and decided that making the characters even more annoying, and taking the story even more out of the alien atmosphere was the obvious solution to the problem; so wrong. Plus they go way overboard using that whole mutation thing that happened in Resurrection, which was the weakest of the original quadrilogy anyway. Nothing but a mildly amusing piece of crap. P.S: Killing hobos is so not cool; especially sewer dwellers

Had little clue what was occurring at any point during the film, let alone the significance of anything that was occurring.

this has alot of bad things going for it, bad lighting, annoying teens, bad dialogue. but it was cool to see the aliens on earth and some parts were good

Terrible. If you didn't see the first AVP you won't understand how this came to occur. The scenes are too dark. The alien mythology seems only to be followed when it suits the crummy plot. (nb- acid for blood is not always a factor here) The lighting is terrible with many scenes too dark to see what's happening. Basically, this is a poor excuse for either an alien or predator movie and the whole predalien thing just seems to be cooked up for a video game.

Pretty much everything the first film should have been, and what all horror films should strive to do. Though the plot was predictable at times, the film pulls none of the horror cliche blows of sparing women and children, and generally excels where other films of the genre fall short. Fans of aliens or of the Predator franchise (or both) will not be disappointed.

A Predalien? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

The beginning where it showed the predator home planet and the preparations for the hunt was good but after that it all went to shit. Pretty abysmal but not quite bad enough for me to rage against it. There were still a few good scenes in this but overall it's hard to figure out how Hollywood managed to fuck this up so badly. This would have been a good idea if the terrible actors were given no screen time and it was done entirely in the point of view of the predator or aliens.

While I was blown away from it the first time I saw it I must say it wasn't as great second time 'round, possibly because I'd watched the first one just before and it's obviously better. Having said that it is still an awesome action film and takes place from the end of the first film. Characters were likeable and the storyline was good and easy to follow. Both Steven and Reiko were likeable as the lead characters. Overall fans of the first should still be pleased with the sequel :)
