I thought the book was absolutly amazing however there was too much information in it to cram into an hour and a half film. Alot was left out and some of the characters seemed different or non-existant all together. In all it was a pretty well done film but could have been much better.

An OK drama about survival in extreme conditions. I've personally never understood the huge stigma and guilt associated with cannibalism. If I was freezing and starving after a plane crash on the side of a mountain, you bet your ass I'd tuck in to some of the less fortunate passengers...and I wouldn't feel bad about it at all. I certainly wouldn't judge someone else in the same situation.

A moving drama about just trying to stay alive. Do not expect thrilling moments in the sense of the Hollywood action scenes. Still, this is one of the hardest films to watch, and that is because of the high level of realism, not only in graphical depiction, but in actor's play as well. One of the most realistic (if not the most) that are based on a true story.

There is a scene where the snow gives way underneath someone's feet and then everything in front of them just falls. It is an amazing shot. And I like it when they sled.

I saw this when I was pretty young, so it was quite shocking to me.
