I've never been a big fan of these sappy ensemble movies where everything is interlinked and everyone finds love and happy endings through the power of Santa Claus, pop music montages, improbable coincidences, and children on bicycles. This one does all the same things as "Love Actually" or "Valentine's Day", and does them not much better or worse. I have to say though, the interconnectedness of these characters was so omnipresent, it felt a little bit incestuous.

This movie is very reminiscent of "Love actually", but that simple comparisson is selling the movie short, because it's also a very rare entity: a dutch movie that's funny, heartwarming and charming. A treasure.
